Before I go on about the details of this Rexona Clinical Protection review, let’s first revisit this brand’s roots and how it became one of the biggest deodorants in the market. If you’re as curious as me, sit back, relax, and read more!
So who made this brand? Upon researching, I discovered that Rexona was first made in Australia by Alice Sheffer, the wife of SF Sheffer who was the founder of the Sheldon Drug Company. As a talented doctor, Mrs. Sheffer wanted to make personal care products that made people feel great and smell good.

Believe it or not, you’re not alone in dealing with sweat issues. My co-writer and blog founder, Oscar has successfully managed hyperhidrosis well. If you want to do the same, read his story here.
The first products she launched were razors, soaps, and medicated ointments. Sales skyrocketed as soon as these products were released. Her formulations were well-loved by the public, and people also liked the smell.
In 1920, Rexona had its first-ever print advertisement. This made the company so popular that there were billboards on hygiene and personal care that had the brand’s name all over them.
In the 1930s, Rexona was purchased by the Lever brothers, a British soap- making company. Later on, the company merged with Dutch Margarine Unie and was called Unilever.
Now owned by the Levers, they focused on innovating the products that Rexona already had and developing newer products that people would need and love using.
The 60s was the shining moment for Rexona, as they launched their antiperspirants which made it to South Africa and even in Asia.
Now, Rexona has a wide range of products that are available in almost any drugstore in any part of the world.
What are the Problems Associated with Excessive Sweat?
As a person who is always active, I understand the struggle of having to change clothes throughout the day, having piles of laundry and having to deal with the odor that comes with the sweat.
After reading some blogs and articles, I have noticed a pattern in the problems people have because of excessive sweating. I will not only be sharing these problems but also the solution to them so stay tuned.
1) Yellow Stains
A lot of people who suffer from excessive armpit sweat always mention that aside from having piles of clothes in the wash, their clothes often have yellow stains that look disgusting and are hard to remove.
These yellow stains are caused by the minerals in your sweat mixing with the aluminum chloride in the antiperspirant/deodorant.
2) Social Anxiety
You must be wondering how a person experiencing excessive sweating can have social anxiety. Let me explain why this can happen and why it is highly possible.
Social Anxiety occurs when a person has anxiety and fear of being judged negatively by others. Sweating profusely often leads to a person feeling embarrassed because he/she does not know how to explain the situation to friends.
It can be a serious problem that can lead to a person avoiding social gatherings just because of their excessive sweating condition. The good news is that in this review, you may now find the solution to stop sweating. If not, I will be giving more recommendations for you to try.
3) Bad Odor
Sweating doesn’t necessarily cause bad odor. What causes you to stink is the bacteria breaking down the sweat in the areas where your apocrine glands are like the armpits and groin.
Bad odor can also lead to having social anxiety and can affect the self-esteem of the person suffering from hyperhidrosis. To avoid this, I would suggest using any Rexona clinical protection antiperspirants to stop the excessive sweating.
Pros of Using Rexona Clinical Protection
1) 3x Stronger
This Rexona antiperspirant is 3x stronger than their usual roll-ons. This means that after applying this product on your armpits, it is possible that your sweat will be reduced or even stopped.
2) Defense + Technology
This antiperspirant is guaranteed to keep you fresh and dry for 96 hours. It is one of the products that surprised me because I am often familiar with using stuff that lasts for about 48 hours only.
3) No Need to Reapply
Because of the Defense+ Technology and it being formulated 3x stronger, you’ll save more on product because you won’t have to reapply it. Many reviews are happy about this roll-on because they never expected it to be so effective and cost-efficient.
Cons of Using Rexona Clinical Protection
1) It May Not Work
Some people who used this roll-on have complained that it doesn’t really work or that they sweat after a few hours. I want to let you know that sadly, this really happens as not all products can give the best results. For a friend of mine, he works best with SweatBlock wipes as it dries faster than other products.
2) Can Stain Clothes
Due to it not necessarily working, your armpit sweat may react to the antiperspirant causing it to stain your clothing. This can be pretty terrible because, in my experience, these stains are almost impossible to remove.
I’d like to share a small tip though, try soaking the stained part with baking soda as it may help lighten or even remove the stain. Also, soak your shirts in warm water as this can help as well.
3) It Doesn’t Dry Fast
Roll-ons are generally liquids in a bottle that has a small plastic ball that helps evenly apply it on your armpits. I used this type of antiperspirant years ago and I can say that it applies the product a bit thicker than antiperspirant wipes.
How to Use An Roll-On Antiperspirant
1) Make Sure Your Underarms are Dry
Antiperspirants work best when applied at night because we tend to sweat less due to the lack of movement and because we’re generally more relaxed at night.
Make sure that you take a bath first, and trim your armpit hair as the product has to go on the skin to be 100% effective. After your bath, you have to make sure that your underarms are very dry before applying the product.
2) Apply the Product
After making sure your armpits are dry, you can now open your roll-on and evenly apply two or three swipes on your armpit. Repeat this process on the other side.
Applying it evenly is important as you can’t miss any small part of your underarm because that part will start sweating and will defeat the purpose of applying the antiperspirant in the first place.
3) Wait For It To Dry
After applying on both armpits, raise your arms and let them dry properly before sleeping or before doing any activity that can cause sweating.
After applying it let’s all hope that the sweating reduces or even disappears completely. Observe how many days you stay sweat-free and take note so you can re-apply the product immediately.
Conclusion
Excessive sweating, when given the proper solution, can be something you can easily overcome. This article was written with that intention in mind as I really like helping people feel better while solving their problems.
I think this is the best way — writing about the best products in the market and making sure that readers like you find this and be more informed, which leads them to find the solution.
