Real Purity Deodorant Review— Smell Good As Easy As 1-2-3

Aren’t you just sick and tired of using a deodorant that doesn’t work? Are you looking for a good brand that keeps their promises? Then Real Purity is the brand for you.

For decades, this brand has been a quiet but heavy competition to all-natural and even conventional deodorants worldwide. Don’t worry, because in this review I will talk about Real Purity deodorant, how it is a revolutionary brand, and what I like and don’t like about this deodorant.

Smiling woman

Did you know that living with hyperhidrosis is made easier now that we have different products that can help? Well, a friend and I write all about them so that you won’t have a hard time finding them online. Read my friend Oscar’s story here.

Now you wouldn’t have to resort to making your own products because there is something that will work for you. It’s time to sit back, relax, and smell good the whole day.

Before I go and share more about Real Purity, here is a review by Robin, who is a natural deodorant fan who tries different brands to inform her consumers if it is worth the purchase.

Types of deodorant

There are different types of deodorants?! Why, yes. There are actually more than 3 types, as most people don’t know because sticks and roll-ons are usually the stuff they see in the drugstore or grocery when buying deodorant.

Well, you’re in luck because I will be sharing the different types of deodorants:

1. Stick

My list on deodorants always starts from the most common so here is the deodorant stick, which I’m sure you’re familiar with. These deodorants are solid but melt a little bit when you apply them, leaving a clear/ transparent layer on the skin.

This layer of protection keeps you smelling fresh all day. Stick type deodorants are usually in invisible solids or soft solids. Invisible solids are the type where you turn the dial at the bottom and the product is pushed up whole while the soft solid has a lid of sorts that have holes so when the product is pushed out it comes out in tiny bits.

2. Roll-on

Roll-on deodorants are another common type you’d see in stores. I’m sure that you may have even used one growing up unless you’ve never really needed deodorant (lucky you!).

Roll-ons are usually in a plastic or glass bottle, with a plastic ball on top that rotates and spreads the liquid evenly on the skin. These deodorants are convenient, however, you have to be very careful not to drop the bottle because the holder which keeps the ball in place may loosen causing the contents to spill.

3. Spray

Sprays are pretty common these days but not as much as numbers 1 and 2. Even though this type started in the ’40s, sprays were only popularized by athletes because it is the safest and most hygienic type of deodorant to have in locker rooms.

I first encountered this type of deodorant back when I was at the gym as most gyms have this in their locker/shower rooms because people can share it, as compared to other types where there is skin contact.

Spray types are actually convenient to have because it uses very little product and it evenly spreads the liquid on the skin. The only problem is it is a bit pricier than sticks or roll-ons and it can be quite bulky (although it is light).

4. Cream

Cream deodorants are the craze these days. It all started when people wanted a more “homey” feel to their products. Aside from really starting from mothers or family members making their own products (that, later on, became a hit to lots of consumers), cream deodorants became popular because of armpit detox.

Cream type deodorants are usually applied through an applicator stick or your fingers. many people just don’t like that the product can get stuck under their nails, but I always tell them to just wash their hands, it won’t take that long anyway.

5. Crystal

Last but not least on my list is crystal type deodorants. These deodorants are like the cheapest and the deodorant that will outlive the other types in this list. Let me explain why.

First, this deodorant is made using mineral salts and fragrance that is solidified into a smooth crystal. You just get the top part wet and gently rub on your armpit. This creates a very thin layer that neutralized odor and leaves a pleasant smell.

Crystal deodorants will last forever because little product is really used at every application. A single crystal deodorant can last you maybe 1 or 2 years, or a few months because the joke is, you might only have to buy a new one because you dropped and broke it.

The basics of underarm detox and why it is important

Moving on to underarm detox, you might be wondering what this is all about or you might start thinking about cold-pressed juices or similar stuff. I’d like to tell you that underarm detox is nothing like that. No need for juicers or vegetables (what a relief right?).

Armpit detox is widely recommended for people who have been using conventional products that either use anticholinergics or have any form of aluminum in them which blocks pores.

Although there are not many studies that prove that aluminum is bad for you, always remember that sweating is a normal bodily function and if you aren’t diagnosed with hyperhidrosis (which is an excessive sweating condition), you might just need a regular all-natural deodorant to help you with the bad odor instead of going for clinical strength antiperspirants.

How do you start your detox and what do you need? It’s easy, all the ingredients are easy to find — get some calcium bentonite clay, apple cider vinegar, and water. I jokingly say that there is a fourth ingredient which is patience, but I’m sure you’ll understand why you need the “fourth ingredient”

If you have the three ingredients ready, get a plastic or glass bowl, a plastic or glass stirrer and mix equal parts of calcium bentonite, apple cider vinegar, and water. I usually use just a tablespoon because I make my mix fresh daily.

Mix well until it becomes a paste similar to the consistency of yogurt. Apply on the armpits and let it stay for a few minutes. I usually start with 5 minutes to be on the safe side (I want to avoid any bad skin reactions), gradually adding time each week.

The fourth ingredient, patience is needed last because you will have to do this daily for 5 to 30 days depending on how fast your underarms detox and adjust to not having clogged pores. You’ll notice that by the end of the detox you will not have to reapply your deodorant.

What is Real Purity?

Real purity is what I call the OG of all-natural deodorants. Before “all-natural”, “organic”, and “aluminum-free” were popular terms, Virginia Easterling developed her own line of health and beauty products we now know as Real Purity.

Virginia was a licensed cosmetologist and aesthetician, so beauty and wellness was already part of her day-to-day life. She also noticed that all the products she used had all these harsh chemicals she wasn’t really happy about. So she made her own.

They have different skincare products from lotions to creams and of course, their signature roll-on deodorant. In 2013, due to the success of their products for decades, they finally launched their organic stick deodorant which was a success.

Today Real Purity is still a strong brand of personal care and skincare products and I honestly think that they should be more well-known than they already are.

What I like about Real Purity

1. 100% all-natural

Real purity is true to their promise — to only make natural and organic products that work wonders when it comes to eliminating bad odor without having to clog your pores or stop sweating at all.

Some products, I noticed, always say all-natural but they use some questionable ingredients like animal fat which makes me wonder, is it really necessary? This deodorant only uses what your body needs, no-frills — just something that works.

2. Transparent ingredient list

Check the back of your bottles as proof — all the oils and essential oils are stated clearly, and they don’t use artificial fragrances so you can be sure that there will be no itching, red marks, or even yellow stains.

The ingredients of Real Purity deodorant are:

Purified Aqua (Water), Kosher Vegetable Glycerin (Palm), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Cleavers Extract, Magnesium Stearate, Potassium Sorbate (Potassium), Mixed Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Oil, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil.

My favorite ingredient is cleavers extract which I wasn’t familiar with at first. After doing my research I discovered that this ingredient is part of what makes this brand unique. Cleavers extracts is known to heal lots of skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. This can speed up the healing process of the skin, especially if you go through hair removal procedures like plucking or shaving.

3. A bottle lasts more than 2 months

A lot of people who have used this brand say the same time, they always buy more than one bottle and a bottle always lasts for more than a few months at a time, it’s just so popular that stores often run out of bottles. So as a pro-tip, buy more than one bottle. Especially if it works for you.

What I don’t like about Real Purity

1. Does not work

For some people, Real Purity does not work. They still end up smelling bad and sadly, they say that they smell even worse than when they weren’t using this product. I always tell people that different people different reactions to the product. If Real Purity doesn’t work for you, you can contact them to get your money back and return the product.

Another factor that may affect the effectiveness of Real Purity is underarm detox. Before saying it doesn’t work, make sure you go through the full 30-day detox. This may give your body enough time to adjust and get rid of a lot of toxins from years of you using stuff that clogged your pores.

2. Needs reapplication

Some people complain that they have to wipe and reapply the product several times a day. This can be pretty much a hassle especially if you are always going out or if you have a really busy day ahead of you.

I can’t imagine the stress of having to worry about how you smell every few hours. But I always go to the root of the problem — I ask anybody experiencing this if they have tried to do a full underarm detox. If they say no then I promptly teach them how to do it.

Conclusion

Real Purity is indeed real goodness — when it comes to staying fresh and smelling fresh the entire day. You don’t have to worry anymore because you now know what to buy, and it’s not even that expensive. I would definitely buy Real Purity because it has been in the market for years and many people have sworn that they have found a natural deodorant that works just like their old stuff, sans the chemicals.

Ready to Make a Change Now?

My name is Oscar and I am the founder and director of Stop-Sweating-Now.com and have been researching and writing about hyperhidrosis for many yearOscars.

I have been sweating excessively for the better part of my life.  I looked for solutions for well over a decade, but I never found anything that lasted.

It all started when I was around 14 years of age, when I suddenly found out that I was sweating more in my armpits than I should.  At first I thought it was something that would go away soon, but I was wrong.

I had given up hope and accepted to live the rest of my life being embarrassed with ugly sweat stains in my armpits.

However, after a few years of not searching for any solutions anymore, I gave it another shot.  And I found what finally gave me the freedom I had longed for so many years.

After finding a solution to my problem, I decided it was important to shout out my message to those that are suffering from what I had lived with so many years.

My goal is to help people find their freedom from sweating by sharing my expertise because hyperhidrosis is an underdiagnosed condition.

People don’t know that it is a medical term and can be treated effectively.

That is why I am here: Sharing with you what I know, what works and what does not work.
