You’re not alone in dealing with hyperhidrosis. I have lived with this condition for more than 2 decades and have discovered the best course of action in managing this condition. Check out my story here.

What is Hyperhidrosis?

Before I share all about Odaban, I need to tell you who should use Odaban and who should not use it.

If you have been sweating excessively in your face, scalp, underarms, palms, groin, back or lower trunk, or your feet without a known reason, this product might just be for you.

Primary hyperhidrosis is a condition in which their apocrine sweat glands, which are triggered by the endocrine system, produce excessive sweat even when you are not stimulated. That is when you can sweat in your armpits even if you are in an air-conditioned room, sitting on a couch, and watching a children’s movie.

Primary hyperhidrosis is not dangerous, neither does it leave behind any secondary effects. The fact of the matter is that you cannot control this excessive sweating and there is also not a cure for this disorder. And it usually starts as soon as the apocrine glands develop at the onset of puberty. I started to sweat excessively at the age of 14, which was fairly late when compared to others who often start at 9.

If you are suffering from primary hyperhidrosis, Odaban is for you and it will have a positive effect on your life and self-esteem.

However, if you sweat asymmetrically, or you have severe night sweats, and have started when you were already an adult, chances are that you have generalized hyperhidrosis, which can be caused by underlying health issues like obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, among others.

If there is an underlying health issue, Odaban antiperspirant will most likely give you relief of your sweating, but your condition should not be left untreated. I highly recommend that you seek medical advice as soon as possible.

What Is Odaban?

Odaban has given its customers freedom from excessive sweating for over forty years, thus it is a very trusted product by many men and women around the world.

Jeff, the maker of Odaban, found the secret and magical formula that would help thousands of people to get back a normal life without the fear of sweating and having ugly and embarrassing sweat marks all over the clothes.

He, Jeff, helped a colleague decades ago and it did not take long until by word of mouth the great news of an effective sweat stopper traveled around the world.

Odaban contains 20% aluminum chloride, which is fairly higher than its competitors on the market. And it comes in a silicone and alcohol base which makes a perfect combination that blocks the sweat glands.

Pros of Odaban

There are certainly some things that I really like about such a great product that has received thousands of positive reviews of the past forty years.

1. Made for the whole body

Certainly, not many products can beat Odaban in this. Since Odaban is a spray bottle, you can apply it to your whole body. This can be useful to anybody, even for people who have night sweats. Look at the image to see in what parts you can apply it.

Using Odaban in different parts of your body.
You can use Odaban on all parts of the body where you sweat excessively!

Of all the products that I have used and reviewed, this is the first one that the maker says it works on every part of the body, and it makes perfect sense since it is stronger than its competitors. For example, in order to stop excessive sweating on your palms, you need more a stronger antiperspirant than you need for your armpits.

Although almost nobody sweats excessively in all these body parts, it is definitely possible that you sweat in more than one, especially if you suffer from compensatory hyperhidrosis.

2. Antiperspirant Spray

This definitely nails it. Most clinical strength antiperspirants are dab-on or roll-on. I like being able to spray this product on my feet, for example, instead of doing it with a roll-on. Some parts of the body are not made for roll-on, and dab-on takes quite long to cover the whole body part.

3. No Side Effects

Aluminum chloride was long claimed as a chemical that caused Alzheimer’s disease and different cancers. However, that myth has been debunked in the past decade by researchers who did not find enough evidence to prove this theory.

Odaban does not give you other side effects than a tingling or prickling if not applied correctly. However, that will go away within hours of application.

4. Doesn’t need to be applied every day

Clinical strength antiperspirants do not have to be applied every single day, because your sweat glands are blocked for good 2-10 days, depending on the product and on the resistance of your body.

Most people get an average of 4 days per application, which means you will apply only a maximum of twice per week. That is great news!

5. Effectiveness

Last, but not least, the good news is that Odaban is effective. Many users, both online and offline have told me how effective this product is, which is why I decided to do this review.

Nothing else has to be said! Just like all the happy customer reviews, this product is effective and has proven so for many decades. I find it great that people have used it for 20+ years and they still use the same product every single week to solve a problem like excessive sweating.

Cons of Odaban

As with every product, there have to be some downsides. Odaban has many pros, but there are a few cons. However, these do not outweigh the cons in my personal opinion.

1. Tingling or prickling

One thing that I definitely do not like about aluminum chloride, not necessarily Odaban is that you have to apply it very carefully following the instructions. If you do not stick to them 100%, you will have some prickling and tingling, which can cause itchiness.

I have experienced that in my armpits, and I even could not sleep well for a few hours because of that.

However, if you apply it correctly, you stand a chance to not have it at all.

2. Avoid eye contact

Although this is a no-brainer, it has to be mentioned. All sprays when they come in contact with your eyes, they will burn or even hurt your eyes.

When you apply this product, just make sure that you close your eyes well and that you do not spray directly into them.

Rinsing well with water is the first and best thing to do if happens.

3. Not always effective

Did I not say it was effective? Yes, that is true. However, I have found out that if you do not apply clinical strength antiperspirants as the instructions say, there is a chance that it will not have an effect on your excessive sweating.

It has happened to me that I started sweating after an application, which is something you do not want to happen. So, make sure, that you apply just like the instructions say, and you will see that it is effective. With a little practice, it becomes easier and you understand the process better.

Another solution is to try wearing different undershirts especially on days that are warmer as this can affect the sweating episodes. it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

How To Apply Odaban?

If you follow these easy and simple steps, Odaban will be the product that will give you back your freedom to lift your arms or to not carry a cloth around to clean your face sweat.

Step 1:

Make sure that your armpits will stay dry for a minimum of 4 hours before you apply. Nighttime is the best time to apply. Sleeping in a cooled-down room is the best way to get the most out of this product. If you think you might sweat in the next few hours, do not apply, as it will not be as effective or it might not last as long as it normally would.

Consider trimmed-down body hair where you plan to apply. The spray can reach your skin much better when there is not so much hair in the way.

And obviously, never apply on a sweaty body. Clean thoroughly first. Especially if you plan to apply into your armpits, get rid of deodorants. Do not apply hand creams before applying this product. For effectiveness on your face, you also need to get rid of all cosmetic products.

Step 2:

Apply by spraying directly onto the desired body part. Beware of irritation because it is a strong product that can cause skin irritation.

Odaban recommends to spray onto a cotton ball and apply by dabbing it onto your affected body part. However, that depends much on your personal preference and also your skin.

Apply only one spray per area (for example, one spray into one armpit or one spray into a cotton ball for one armpit).

Do not cover whole body parts, but focus on the areas where sweat glands are located. For example, the armpits are always completely drenched, but there is only a 3-4 cm diameter in the center of your armpits where the sweat glands are.

Your scalp may be the most sensitive skin. Be careful not to spray directly onto it. You may prefer a cotton ball for that. However, that is a matter of trying and finding out.

Step 3:

Let the affected body part air dry before you put any clothes on. 8 minutes is a good time to make sure it is completely dry.

Relax and enjoy a good night’s rest after following these steps carefully.

Tomorrow could be your first day of not sweating anymore!

Some people report that one application only lasted for a day or two. Odaban suggests that you reapply as soon as you notice that you are sweating again. The first week it may be every day, and then every two days, and so on.

However, your body might respond to this product immediately. It is a matter of finding out and not giving up until it works for you.

Odaban is a great sweat stopper and one of its kind in the market because it is not specially designed for a certain body part.

It has been on the market for many years and has stood the test of time. Many customers continue to buy this product because they liked it the moment they tried it and they have not been looking for something else.

So, if you are looking for a product to stop your excessive sweating problem, this is the one that you have been looking for.

Ready to Make a Change Now?

My name is Oscar and I am the founder and director of Stop-Sweating-Now.com and have been researching and writing about hyperhidrosis for many yearOscars.

I have been sweating excessively for the better part of my life.  I looked for solutions for well over a decade, but I never found anything that lasted.

It all started when I was around 14 years of age, when I suddenly found out that I was sweating more in my armpits than I should.  At first I thought it was something that would go away soon, but I was wrong.

I had given up hope and accepted to live the rest of my life being embarrassed with ugly sweat stains in my armpits.

However, after a few years of not searching for any solutions anymore, I gave it another shot.  And I found what finally gave me the freedom I had longed for so many years.

After finding a solution to my problem, I decided it was important to shout out my message to those that are suffering from what I had lived with so many years.

My goal is to help people find their freedom from sweating by sharing my expertise because hyperhidrosis is an underdiagnosed condition.

People don’t know that it is a medical term and can be treated effectively.

That is why I am here: Sharing with you what I know, what works and what does not work.
