All-natural is the rage nowadays. We can’t deny that vegan, chemical-free products are slowly taking over the market. Being vegan myself this makes me very happy.
But as a person who sweats more than average due to my daily activities like when I exercise and when I play rugby, I decided to make this review for you to know more about this brand and if you would want to try it out for yourself.
In this Jason natural deodorant review, I will mainly share my experience of using all-natural deodorants, some facts about Jason deodorants, and what I do or do not like about this brand. So sit back, relax, and keep on reading. You might discover later on that this is the brand that you have been looking for.

It’s always amazing when you discover life hacks to problems like excessive sweating. This reminds me of my co-writer Oscar as he discovered that he has hyperhidrosis and is managing this condition well. Read his story here.
My Experience With All-Natural Deodorants
Let me share some experiences I’ve had using all-natural products growing up. As a kid growing up in a relatively hot and humid country, you could already expect that I sweat more than the usual person who, let’s say, lives in a colder area like the US or even in some cooler parts of Japan.
The thing is, I loved running around, climbing trees and such, that at an early age I began discovering that my sweat didn’t smell quite good. I think I was around 12 or 13 when I was given my first chunk of tawas or potassium aluminum sulfate (yes, in rock form), to use on my underarms after I take a bath.
Sadly, it did not work and I still smelled terrible despite following all instructions on how to apply the tawas correctly, I was still as stinky as a skunk. So my mom had to buy me deodorants. Most deodorants I grew up with were mostly either Rexona Sticks or Secret Soft Solids.
After using those products, I had no more problems with my smell, but I had a bigger problem to solve — yellow stains that were so hard to remove.
I bet you totally understand how frustrating it is for me as a teenager not knowing that there are natural deodorants in the market that could’ve solved my problems. That these all-natural deodorants in my country just had to have the right formulation of their ingredients and that I could’ve detoxed properly and would’ve not smelled as bad.
What Is Jason Deodorants?
Jason is a UK-based brand dedicated to keeping all of their products organic, all-natural, and cruelty-free. Unlike bigger brands, Jason promises to keep all their products safe and effective, without all the synthetics.
The brand was started in 1959 with just simple body soaps. The brand means “healer” in Greek and had a promise to avoid certain chemicals when making their products. As the years passed, Jason slowly began to expand their line to lotions and even deodorants like the one in this review.
Aside from not testing on animals, Jason makes sure that they fully research and inform their consumers about the packaging of their products to the all-natural preservatives that they use. They truly wanted to make products to allow our sensitive skin to heal from all the harsh chemicals we used before.
I love that they really let us know what’s in their products. This is the biggest problem for most big companies in the market nowadays. Yes, all ingredients are listed down. But do their consumers know what they are and why they’re in the product they use?

What I Like About Jason Deodorants
1. The Wide Variety of Options
I discovered this brand back in 2015 when I was looking at the local store for all-natural products. I like Jason deodorants because they have different available fragrances for both men and women. There was so much to choose from it took me a while to finally get the mint deodorant stick.
2. Invisible
The Jason deodorants never made any mark on my shirts, which was pretty cool because I had been dealing with yellow stains most of my life and it was the first time I didn’t have to worry about it at all.
3. Cruelty-Free
I love that Jason´s never test on animals. They have been that way since 1959 and have always used vegan-friendly ingredients. This is awesome seeing that they could easily have been one of the first few vegan deodorants in the market.
4. No More yellow Stains
As I mentioned above, no aluminum, no stains. Well, the aluminum isn’t the sole culprit. The stains are a result of the reaction between your sweat and the aluminum chloride, an active ingredient in most commercially available deodorant/antiperspirants.

What I Dislike About Jason Deodorants
1. Does Not Stop Sweat
Sadly, deodorants are different from antiperspirants. Deodorants only deal with the bacteria that causes bad odor, but it doesn’t really stop sweat. Jason deodorants do not claim to stop sweat, but only to provide you with fresh, all-natural smelling underarms at the end of the day.
If you are suffering from excessive underarm sweating and want to reduce or stop the sweat, you may want to try an antiperspirant instead.
2. Sticky Feeling
Most people who have tried this natural deodorant have complained about the sticky feeling it gives them after applying the product. I’d always suggest using it after a bath but sadly I’ve read that it still has the same effect on clean, dry skin. I myself haven’t experienced this but most people who have used their products always say the same.
3. Does Not Work
Most reviews have said that they tend to stink after a few hours of using Jason´s all-natural deodorants. This is sad as I have gone through the same experience and why I’ve had to go back to using my old commercial deodorant instead.
Before you feel sad, I’d like to remind you that for some people, the bad odor or “B.O” may be caused during the detoxing process when switching to all-natural products.
This happens because your body is slowly getting used to the natural ingredients in your new deodorant. This can last for 5 to even 30 days after making the switch. So before giving up on your natural deodorant, try to speed up the detox and try if it works better for you.
4. Expensive
The only problem I had aside from the fact that it wasn’t working for me was the price. It isn’t as affordable as most over-the-counter deodorants I used before. So after discovering that it didn’t work for me, I couldn’t just keep on buying it due to it being a bit more expensive. I had to find a more affordable and effective alternative.
Conclusion
Jason admittedly is not the best product out there. it definitely doesn’t help with the sweating and it can make the smell worse if you don’t really go through a complete underarm detox.
It can be frustrating to use this deodot=rant as there can be many complaints and that it has never really worked for me despite using it for months.
Although Jason all-natural deodorants may not be the product for you if you excessively sweat, it’s good to know that there are all-natural alternatives that exist in the market.
